In Touch With Old New and Ancient is a family run business and was established in 1994.

Our business continues to strive to provide exceptional service when providing the solution to your damp and timber issues. Our honest approach provides our clients with the confidence that the correct diagnosis and treatment is provided.

Our Technicians are highly trained thus ensuring our clients get the best possible results.

Intona are members of the Property Care Association and are registered with the government endorsed Trust Mark Scheme.

In 2005 our Asbestos Division was incorporated within the business and in 2018 attained ISO 17020 UKAS Accreditation.

RON MITCHELL C.S.R.T

DIRECTOR/SURVEYOR

Ron Mitchell has been in the Timber Preservation trade since 1984 and has an extensive knowledge of timber preservation works. His key role as Director is to manage the daily business activities and finances and to ensure legal filing requirements are met and to exercise reasonable skill, care and diligence in his role and to make the company successful by promoting and achieving its business goals. The company has an independent Health and Safety Officer who is responsible for the day-to-day health and safety, risk and hazard assessments but ultimately Ron Mitchell has overall responsibility for the safety of our staff and clients.

  • Proficiency Certificate in Bulk Sampling and Asbestos Surveys

ALLAN BLYTH

DIRECTOR/SENIOR SURVEYOR

Allan has been in the Timber and Damp Preservation business for over 40 years and his role covers the surveying for Timber and Damp Preservation, reporting on the outcome of surveys and estimating for any treatments required. Allan has vast experience in this type of work and is responsible for site inspections and setting realistic expectations and targets and ensuring standards are met. His role also includes updating clients on the works being undertaken and manage change if required. He is also responsible for on-site health and safety and quality checks.

  • B.W.P.D.A – Remedial Treatment of Dampness in Buildings

ROSS DUGUID

DIRECTOR/ASBESTOS MANAGER

Ross has over 20 years surveying experience and has been in a management role for the last 15 years. Ross was responsible for the company being awarded ISO 17020 UKAS Accreditation in March 2018 after successfully completing and in-depth audit process.

  • BOHS P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings (surveying & removal)
  • BOHS M504 Asbestos and Other Fibres
  • UKATA Cat A/B non-Licensed Asbestos Removal & Management
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • IPAF

TECHNICIANS

Our Joiners, Plasterer and Painter are all time served and have CSCS cards and are asbestos aware. Training certificates held include for example include PASMA, IPAF, SVQ2 and SVQ3 in Construction, Carpentry and Joinery, PCA Safe Use of Biocides For Professional Users. IOSH Managing Safely and UKATA Category B non-licenced asbestos removal.

ASBESTOS SURVEYORS

Our Surveyors are UKAS accredited for Asbestos Surveying which include Management, Refurbishment/Demolition and Re-Inspection Surveys for all property types – Commercial, Industrial and Domestic premises. Training certificates held included UKATA Category B non-licenced asbestos removal and P402, P405 and M504.
